Astrid Oviedo Clark works with private art collectors, family offices, and wealth professionals to steward significant art and design collections as long-term cultural and financial assets.

Her advisory practice integrates curatorial rigor, market intelligence, and institutional expertise to guide acquisitions, conduct collection audits, structure legacy planning initiatives, and coordinate cross-border management of complex holdings. Each engagement is tailored to the client’s vision while ensuring strategic alignment with estate-planning, philanthropic, and long-term stewardship goals.

Based in New York, Astrid works with collectors throughout the United States and internationally.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Astrid began her career as an archivist at Leo Castelli Gallery before serving as a researcher at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. She held exhibition and curatorial positions at the Museum of the City of New York and the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She lectured at the Museum of Modern Art and taught at Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts.

Her experience spans both institutional and private wealth sectors, including work with private banking clients at Citi Private Bank Art Advisory, as the publications manager at Gagosian Gallery in New York, and Director of Christopher Grimes Gallery in Los Angeles.

She founded her advisory practice in 2009, expanding her work internationally to serve discerning collectors seeking long-term stewardship of culturally significant works.

EDUCATION

Astrid holds a BA in Art History and Philosophy from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Arts Administration from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She pursued doctoral studies in 20th-Century Art at CUNY Graduate Center.
